Great Turnout for Town Hall Meeting

On June 6th the Copper Cove Association held its first workshop for rewriting the governing documents. Over 200 members showed up to provide us with valuable input that will be essential in revising the documents. One of the topics that came up over and over again was that the documents looked like they were written for a condo style HOA that wants to control everything an owner can do inside and outside of their home. The draft documents are just that, drafts, and we will listen to any member that wants to be involved. It is not the Association’s intention to create lots of overbearing new rules that borderline on infringing on everyone’s civil rights. The Board feels that given enough time and member input, the documents can provide the Association with what is needed to conform to current laws and help clean up some of the blight in town but not be so overbearing that you get a letter every week telling you to move your trash cans from view of the street.

Due to the vast amount of input so far, the Board will be forming an Advisory Committee to help them make the best and most informed decisions on any changes to the draft documents. The committee will be an agenda item at the June Board Meeting. If you would like to be considered for the Advisory Committee please notify us at the office and your name will be added to the growing list of interested members.
