Little John Road Repaving Near Completion.

Repaved Little John Road

Calaveras County has nearly concluded its repaving of Little John Road (LJR) from Saddle Creek to Moccasin Road. The County Public Works Department completed the work in about three days. The final striping needs to be applied. Calaveras County Supervisor Dennis Mills worked with the Public Works Department to move up the paving schedule by one year because of the deplorable job done in April to supposedly repair LJR. Other roads in Copper Cove are being repaired but it will take time to complete all.

The important point is to begin to get other projects scheduled on the county’s paving plans. Tentatively, Obyrne’s Ferry Road will be repaved from the Tulloch Bridge to Highway 4 in 2019. The Copper Cove Association as worked with the Supervisor and the county on this and other vital infrastructure issues.
